David Axelrod is an American political consultant and analyst, best known for his role as the chief strategist for Barack Obama's successful presidential campaigns. Axelrod served as a senior advisor to President Barack Obama from 2009-2011. He currently serves as the founding director of the University of Chicago’s non-partisan Institute of Politics (IOP). He is a Senior Political Commentator on CNN and is the host of the Axe Files, a podcast produced by the IOP and CNN.

Mike Murphy is one of the Republican Party's most successful political media consultants.
